The Benefits of Filing Bankruptcy

The notion that there are benefits to filing bankruptcy may seem more than a bit obtuse to some. After all, what is so beneficial to having to legally declare your debts far exceed your income and your ability to pay back your debts is nearly impossible? The answer is found in the protections you would gain from filing for bankruptcy. This is the main aspect of filing for bankruptcy that most people need to be intrinsically aware of. When you file for bankruptcy, you can seek protection from the courts from the encroaching legal ramifications you may face from being unable to meet your debt obligations.

This is not to infer that it would be a wise thing to immediately file for bankruptcy when your debts have piled up. There are definitely negative consequences to filing for bankruptcy which is why you should never file for bankruptcy unless you have no possible way to pay off what you owe based on your current cash flow situation.

That said, those unable to make their obligations are well advised to speak with a bankruptcy attorney and explore filing options. The benefits that can be derived include:

Your immediate protection reveals itself as all debt collection stops. You will not have to deal with harassing phone calls, potential lawsuits, or garnishments of your wages. You do not have to worry about immediate foreclosures or repossessions since the courts will step in and try to remedy the situation to some degree.

In terms of the actual debts you owe, the court can effectively restructure the debt. That means a new and affordable payment plan will be instituted that exists within the parameters of your ability to pay. In some instances, a portion of the debt will be outright eliminated. In other instances, an entire debt might be wiped out. Such an action is known as being "discharged" from debt. The purpose of such restructuring is to create a viable payment option that you can logically adhere to and stay on top of. You would likely not be able to do this without a bankruptcy judge stepping in and making an assessment of your financial situation.

Do not automatically assume though that the judge of the bankruptcy court will completely see things your way. Rather, the judge will make fair and equitable assessments in accordance with the law and an eye on fairness to all parties.

As any qualified bankruptcy attorney will tell you, the prime benefit you would acquire from such a filing is the potential to completely start your financial life anew. You can hopefully avoid making the same mistakes of the past and help stay on top of your finances in the most effective manner.

However, if you truly wish to benefit from filing bankruptcy, you will need to alter your approach to your finances so that you do not fall into the same traps that led you into financial troubles in the first place.

Those that do allow their bankruptcy filing to set the stage for starting anew and avoiding the errors of the past will discover the true benefits the filing brings forth.

The Fastest Way To Earn Extra Cash

Making money has never come easy in America or anywhere else in the world for that matter. It requires waking up early, working hard everyday, and finding the energy to get up and do it all over again the next day. People spend 8 to 10 hours a day at work, five days a week and over three hundred days. After all that hard work people still seem to be short on cash for their personal use. People could always use the extra cash to spend on vacations, new technology, clothes, shoes, and whatever else they decide to purchase.

When people are short on cash it could be difficult to buy all these items. So how do you go about earning extra cash? Well there are plenty of ways. One great way to earn extra cash in a short amount of time would be to organize a garage sale in the front yard. What do you have to lose? Go around your house to search for items that you don't use anymore and set-up a garage sale. Garage sales are easy to conduct and it could end up in a huge success for everybody involved.

It is also important to get the whole family involved when setting up a garage sale. It could turn into a lot of fun for the entire family. It will give the family a chance to spend quality time with one another. It will also teach kids how a business works, effective negotiation tactics, and how to interact with customers. Have the kids choose items that they no longer use and sell them. Just make sure that they don't clean out their entire room and sell all of their belongings.

In order to make sure that the garage sale is a success it is important to advertise effectively. Create signs and hang them up around the neighborhood. The Internet is also a great place to advertise your garage sale. Use websites such as Craigslist to inform people that you're going to have a garage sale. Just remember to not sell anything that has sentimental value to you or your family. Items with sentimental value cannot be bought for any amount of money. So, for those who want to sell an item that holds sentimental value to them should think twice before doing so.

Another way to earn extra cash in a short amount of time would be to go to the local pawnshop and sell your old jewelry. Just remember that you are allowed to bargain with them. You should know what your jewelry is worth so demand a price and do not go any lower. If the pawnshop pricing is not willing to negotiate with you remember that you can always take your jewelry to a diamond buyer. They usually have a set price, but you might be able to sell it for more money than at the pawnshop. Whatever path you decide to choose they will both earn you extra cash in a short amount of time.
